We took advantage of having a free day off from school today (Jewish holiday Yom Kippur)and finally found the time to check out the new city park downtown... Discovery Green. It was well worth the wait. Maggie especially enjoyed the spray structures, bouncy play equipment, and rolling down the hill. I liked the "Tetris" buildings (later found out they were painted with salvaged paint from oil rigs), the gazebo made out of recycled license plates and the pond that you can rent remote controlled sailboats. There seems to be an endless amount of activities available for everyone...I know we will be back very soon!Thursday, October 9, 2008
