Mariposa Grove

We learned that Sequoias reach full height in its first 800 years, but continues to expand as long as it lives, adding bulk rather than height. The oldest are believed to be almost 3,000 years old! Grandma Sam wasn't up for the uphill 5 mile hike to the museum and grove so we opted to take a tram tour instead. We enjoyed the history and lore of the Sequoias and are glad we took the time to drive there!
